The current SAAPS council was elected in September 2010. It continues with a range of projects, emphasising the Association’s foci on encouragement and facilitation of emerging scholarship, research and publication, and building membership through seminars and think tanks.
The President of SAAPS is Professor Amanda Gouws. She welcomes enquiries and proposals with regard to any of the projects below.

The SAAPS projects are organised in terms of three clusters:
ENCOURAGEMENT AND FACILITATION OF EMERGING SCHOLARSHIP
MEMBERSHIP, NETWORKING AND EMPOWERMENT
The clustering is for practical purposes; note that there is significant inter-cluster articulation.
